The author of the novels: "Prestuplenie i nakazanie" ("Crime and Punishment") (1866), "Idiot" ("The Idiot") (1868), "Besy" ("The Possessed") (1871-1872), "Podrostok" ("A Raw Youth") (1875), "Bratja Karamazovy" ("The Brothers Karamazov") (1879-80), "Bednye l'udi" ("Poor Folk") (1846), "Belye nochi" ("White Nights") (1848), Netochka Nezvanova (1849), "Zapiski iz M'ortvogo doma" ("The House of the Dead") (1861-1862) etc.
